Mitchell Volunteer Program (MVP)

MVP invites individuals age 18 and over to use their life experience and skills to answer the call of their neighbors in need. MVP volunteers help solve serious problems in their communities just by giving their time.

Services


MVP has over 267 volunteers who volunteer at over 65 work stations. We are proud to be a Mitchell Area United Way partner agency. Volunteers serve in many ways in the community to meet the area needs which include:
  • Adult Nutrition Program
  • Area arts
  • Chamber offices
  • Clothing closets/thrift stores
  • Community Center
  • Court monitors
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Hospitals
  • Literacy council tutors
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Reading Buddies
  • Shelters
  • SHIINE programs
  • United Way
  • Worlds Only Corn Palace

Activity Assignments


Volunteers may choose an activity that suits their interests or be can matched through the Volunteer Reporter database. They receive instruction, supervision and support at their volunteer station.
