Copying, Printing, and Scanning

Copyright Notice

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17 U.S. Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Any individual using library copying machines, printers, and or scanners is liable for any copyright infringement.

Copying

A public copy machine is available in the library. The photocopier can produce both black/white and color copies. The copy machine can print on one or both sides of the paper, can enlarge or reduce, and can three-hole punch or staple the paper. Black and white copies cost $0.10 per page, and color copies cost $0.25 per page. Patrons pay for copies at the circulation desk.

Printing

The library's copy machine also serves as a printer. Patrons may select black/white or color printing, may chose single or double-sided printing, and may select finishing options such as three-hole punching or stapling. Print jobs are sent to the print release station. Black and white printing costs $0.10 per page, and color printing costs $0.25 per page. Patrons pay for print jobs at the circulation desk. Patrons need to pay for print jobs before print jobs are released.

Mobile Printing

Mitchell Public Library is pleased to offer MobilePrint Service™, which allows patrons to submit print jobs from any personal computer or mobile device with an Internet connection from anywhere in the world. Instructions for using the MobilePrint Service™  are available on the Mobile Printing page.

Scanning

Patrons may use the library's copy machine to scan documents or photos. Scans can be saved directly to a USB storage drive or emailed to any email address. The library also has a flat-bed scanner connected a public use computer. Patrons may use the flat-bed scanner to scan documents or photos to a USB storage drive. There is no charge for scanning.
